Welcomes renowned researcher to discuss innovative and surprising outcomes that occur when data-drives the path

Alation Inc., the leader in enterprise data catalogs, today announced the launch of Virtual RevAlation, the company’s first virtual user conference which will take place on Thursday, May 28, 2020. Dr. Hannah Fry, Associate Professor in the Mathematics of Cities at the Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis at University College London (UCL), will keynote the event and discuss the innovative outcomes that occur when users let data navigate the path.

Dr. Hannah Fry is widely known for her research on a range of social problems and questions, from shopping and transport to urban crime, riots and terrorism. An experienced public speaker, Dr. Fry has delivered several conference keynotes and TED talks, and has taken the joys of math and data into theatres and schools. Dr. Fry led the development of several BBC documentaries including “The Joy of Data” and “Calculating Ada: The Countess of Computing.” Her latest book, Hello World: How to be human in the age of the machine, was shortlisted for the prestigious Baillie Gifford Prize for Non-Fiction and the Royal Society Book Prize.
