LIQUI MOLY at the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada
The oil manufacturer is sponsor of Policaro Motorsport
June 2019 – Together with Policaro Motorsport, the German oil and additive specialist LIQUI MOLY will compete in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama. “This is our biggest motorsport commitment to date in Canada,” Sebastian Zelger, Director LIQUI MOLY USA, emphasized. Sponsorship not only serves advertising, but also product testing. “What’s proven itself on the race track also protects the engine on the road.”
Policaro Motorsport is competing for the title with two 991 GT3 Cup Porsches developing 460 hp. In this series, there are five races in Canada and one in the USA. The first race of this year’s season in Bowmanville (Ontario) went very well. Jeff Kingsley won the first race of the season – also the first podium position for the 20-year-old from Ontario.
European import vehicles do not need just any oil, but special oils with special characteristics. This turns the oil into a highly specialized, liquid “spare part”. LIQUI MOLY oils are officially approved by automobile manufacturers, including Porsche. This is the highest seal of quality that an oil can receive. That’s why the Porsche Centre Oakville, Ontario, which stands behind Policaro Motorsport, relies on LIQUI MOLY for its service.
The Porsche GT3 Cup Canada is LIQUI MOLY’s biggest involvement in Canadian motorsport, but not the only one. Since 2016, LIQUI MOLY has been the official oil of the Mopar CSBK National Superbike Championships. In addition, the brand is the title sponsor of the second class, the LIQUI MOLY Pro Sport Bike.
