UGM 2019 features 200 educational sessions to help empower attendees to transform ambulatory care in their communities

NextGen Healthcare, Inc. (NASDAQ: NXGN), a leading provider of ambulatory-focused technology solutions, officially kicked off its 22nd Annual User Group Meeting (UGM) in Orlando, Fla. today with nearly 3,000 people in attendance. The conference theme, “Transforming Healthcare Together,” is rooted in the company’s mission to empower the transformation of ambulatory care. The event, which features inspirational speakers, The Three Doctors, and subject matter experts ranging from practice CEOs to practicing physicians, concludes on November 13th.

New in 2019 are role-based learning tracks, enabling attendees to choose sessions based on their professional interests and needs. The four tracks include: practice owners/executives, providers and clinical staff, practice and office managers, and technical professionals. Attendees can choose from nearly 200 sessions, many of which offer CME/CNE credit.

“I’ve attended UGM for the past several years and always look forward to the interaction with other executive leaders from NextGen and the industry. The content in the general sessions is informative and learning about near and mid-term strategies is invaluable. This is a great event,” shared Nick Hughey, Chief Operating Officer, Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center, located on Oahu.

“UGM is a powerful event,” shared Rusty Frantz, President and CEO of Nextgen Healthcare. “When thousands of clients who share the mission of making their communities healthier gather under one roof to learn, share and grow, the energy is palpable. It’s extremely satisfying to help our clients successfully navigate the journey to value-based care.”

Also today, following the UGM opening general session, NextGen Healthcare Chief Medical Officer Dr. Betty Rabinowitz will host the Executive Healthcare Summit for C-level executives. Topics include hot-button issues including: patient/payor relations, cybersecurity and industry regulatory updates. Retired NFL football great Coach Bill Curry will close this session by inspiring these senior leaders to overcome obstacles with his presentation, “The Pain and Power of Discipline and Regret.”

Visit the UGM2019 website for more information. Conference updates will be shared on NextGen’s Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter channels (#UGM2019).
