2019 Annual Physician Writing Contest: This year’s contest asks physicians to talk about “how I became a better doctor”

Medical Economics®, a multimedia platform that provides resources for physicians in the areas of practice management and health technology, is accepting entries for this year’s Annual Physician Writing Contest. The deadline for submissions is Aug. 16.

“Medical Economics® is the voice of the practicing physician, and our annual Physician Writing Contest provides an excellent forum for our readers to discuss important issues, share ideas and find common cause with their colleagues,” said Tom Ehardt, president of MultiMedia Healthcare, LLC. “We love to hear the passionate stories from physicians about how this field has changed them.”

This year’s topic, “How I Became a Better Doctor,” seeks stories from physicians about the moments that made them a better doctor. Medical Economics® will choose three winners to have their writing pieces published online and in print. The first-place winner will also be granted $2,500, the second place-winner will be granted $1,500, and the third-place will be awarded $1,000.

Submissions must be 800 to 1,200 words and must include the writer’s name, contact email, address, short bio and telephone number. Submissions can be sent to [email protected] or by mail to:
