Celebrating its eleventh anniversary, the workshop – ‘Beyond Security by Design required in the IoT Era’ – will take place at Akihabara UDX Gallery NEXT in Tokyo, Japan, on Wednesday, December 18, 2019. Over the course of the afternoon, it will highlight the critical progress TCG has made in improving secure computing across the world, with individuals and businesses alike needing to change the way they protect their data and assets. The annual Trusted Computing Group (TCG) Japan Regional Forum (JRF) Open Workshop returns to address new and emerging security threats and challenges in the digital world.
Taking place from 13:00, the event will also include a panel session featuring all speakers. This will be followed by a reception to network with speakers and TCG members. TCG member companies’ products, technologies, and services will be showcased at a TCG technology demonstration, which will be available during the reception.
The event is being held as the rise of the IoT era creates a complex environment where security is becoming a top concern for many individuals and organizations. The host of prestigious speakers will provide insight on the latest security threats, advise on how organizations should be responding to the and share the benefits of standardization activities promoted by Trusted Computing Group (TCG).
Guest speakers, including Cisco Systems, Panasonic, JPCERT/CC and a Professor at Osaka University’s Information Security Headquarters, will take security by design to the next level, addressing issues related to the entire product lifecycle, including safe disposal. New security measures that have been introduced in view of the diversification of product lifecycles amid the IoT era will also be discussed.
